The Pathways principle is that there is ‘no wrong door’ for people to access the help they need. Personalised support is focused around each individual, by qualified and experienced Pathways team members, to encourage a positive outcome for each person.
The Pathways team comprises experienced and qualified specialists, employed by the partner organisations and delivered from hubs around the city.
Provide an outreach service, speaking to people we find sleeping rough on a daily basis.
Provide advice and assistance to people who are rough sleeping or at risk of rough sleeping.
Support individuals to maintain their accommodation where this will prevent rough sleeping.
Signpost and support individuals to address barriers to gaining or maintaining accommodation.
Make referrals into accommodation that is available and is most suitable to meet a person’s needs.
Pathways operates from hubs across the city and through outreach on the street.
Our hubs offer a variety of services.

The streetmap of Norwich has local services plotted on it.
Norwich Street Aid offers members of the public the means to give to homeless people in a way that will be meaningful and beneficial. The Pathways partner organisations receive referrals on behalf of individuals on the streets, and through a quick and simple process Street Aid funds can help.
The funds are held by the Norfolk Community Foundation and individuals can apply for specific things - for example training courses, bus travel, a mobile phone, household items for a new home.
Norwich BID is working with local businesses to promote the scheme. People can donate online here: Donate to street aid or via the payment portals located around the city.
There is a presentation evening for volunteer recruitment from 5.30 p.m. on Tuesday 3rd October.
If you would like to attend - ring 01603 610256 to book your place.
Mike, 56 had worked all his life after leaving school at 16 and lived in rented house in Drayton. Last year he was made redundant and struggled to find another job. He had lived in his house for nearly twenty years and his landlord was sympathetic to his situation. However, as time went on, Mike’s rent arrears built up to £2,000 and he was evicted from his home.
Since he left school, Michael, 39, has suffered with mental health issues and also has severe arthritis meaning he cannot hold a pen.
Ben, 24, had been sleeping rough in Norwich city centre. His situation was so severe that he was admitted to A&E and successfully completed an in-patient detoxification from drugs and alcohol at the Norfolk and Norwich hospital.
Concerned about someone sleeping rough? StreetLink is a service that enables members of the public to alert local authorities and street outreach programs about people they have seen sleeping rough.
